Gundam Wing Operation Meteor

Posted on  by admin

Operation Meteor (過ぎ去りし流星, Sugisari shi ryūsei?) is the second episode of New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz OVA series. I do not own gundam wing, gundam seed, gundam seed destiny or anything of any gundam franchise this is all owned by their rightful creators so pleace do not sue me!

About Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Collector's Ultra Edition Blu-Ray Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Collector's Ultra Edition contains Episodes 1-49, Operation Meteor OVA (Japanese Audio) and Endless Waltz OVA + Movie (Japanese/English Audio) housed in a high-quality chipboard art box. This Ultra Edition also includes 5 large art cards, 5 small art cards, 3 posters, 5-piece metal pin set, and a 180 page hardbound art book featuring pages of amazingly detailed key art, promotional artwork, mecha and character design galleries, staff and cast interviews, storyboards, and more! Mankind has moved into space. Thousands of people live on giant orbiting space colonies called 'Sides.'

However, the Earth Government, which rules the colonies, is unjust and cruel. A group of revolutionaries build five robotic weapons called Gundams and plan to send them to Earth to begin their fight for independence. Piloted by five young men, these Gundams carry the colonists' hopes and dreams of freedom with them as they descend to Earth to begin Operation Meteor! Special Features: Disc full of exclusive extras including the New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop Picture Drama and cast interviews.

Please Note: Special Features are subject to change. After more than 15 years of it airing on television in North America back in 2000 we can finally relive watching this series in a Remastered Quality. I'll openly say I'm not overly thrilled by the artwork on the chipbox, as compared with Bandai's 'Complete Operations'. The difference however is this release has the Operation Meteor OVA (sadly Japanese Audio Only), and the Endless Waltz Movie + OVA & other extras. I feel the price tag is justifiable especially considering we get exclusive extras including the New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop Picture Drama and cast interviews.

Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Operation Meteor

The New Mobile Report Gundam WIng: Frozen Teardrop is based off a novel that takes approximately 20–30 years after the events of the New Mobile Report Gundam Wing television series and Endless Waltz OVA and movie in the new 'Mars Century' or 'MC' era. I remember this from Toonami, just amazing to see this getting re-released on blu-ray! Priced very fair! My only issue is the ultra size box makes the collect-ability worthless to me! If I was in the market to replace a bookend or a encyclopedia this would be a great replacement! The reason I & others made the switch to dvd/ blurays was to get away from ULTRA big!

Some people like weird/ awkward sized things with tons of coloring books and toys. Wish whoever it is doing the these ulta/premium releases would take a page out of the Funi playbook and just release something that I actually want in my collection like a LE! Both Ultra and standard release are a failure to launch in my eyes, so I guess i'm forced to get the bare-bones addition.

Gundam Wing (AKA-Gundam W in Japan) is the first Anime GUNDAM Series debut in the U.S. By Cartoon Network (under Toonami) & YTV in Canada. The series aired in 1995 from Japan & two years later in North America.

I've manage to obtain the first release on DVD from BANDAI Entertainment (Anime Legends Edition) 10 years ago. I was very excited that RightStuf/Sunrise is rereleasing GW in both DVD/BR format plus in a Collector's Ultra Edition. Highly recommend it that I've got to Pre-Order it ASAP. BTW as for the question from Gundam Meister, yes the Gundam Wing 'Endless Waltz' will also be sold separately in DVD/BR format but it will be release later in December.

I think it's amazing that they are releasing this all-encompassing collection and a Blu-ray format. It is one of Gundams best series and most beloved because it was one of the first to come to the u.s. And introduce us to this culture of anime. One thing I am curious about in this collection is the quality. Sometimes when they box them up and put them on Blu-ray the quality stays the same but just in a different format and sometimes they actually remaster it so the image is better. However they don't make any mention of it being remastered and so I'm curious about the image quality.

Gundam Wing was first released on Japanese TV in 1995. Anti-war media is understandably ubiquitous in Japan after WW 2. That said, I’ve found most of the Gundam anime to be detailed, entertaining and profoundly introspective looks into the consequences of war, both on an individual and a global level. Character development is one of the shows many strengths, a tall order given the four protagonists and two primary antagonists. In a 49-episode series, it’s not always possible to see the events that made everyone turn out as they did, but the main characters to develop into well-rounded characters.

To learn about what happened during their childhoods, you’ll need to buy the Episode Zero manga. The plot can be rather complex (needlessly so at times, with dozens of events to keep track of), but it’s always an entertaining romp that never slows down. At least for those who Gundam Wing was their first Gundam Anime. It certainly was for me. Its been a journey from when my dad first brought home some random Gundam Wing VHS's out of nowhere to now finally having everything in HD on Blu Ray. This series delves deeply into the real world and philosophical ramifications of War and Pacifism.

What makes me keep coming back to it is the sheer nonsense that dominates American television lately. If you want to watch something with substance and meaning GET THIS. So excited Gundam Wing is being released on Blu-ray in an incredible boxed set. We can FINALLY see the Operation Meteor OVA! My daughter and I found this series so intriguing we started a website and we're still going strong at the Shooting Stars Collection after 16 years. We’ve had visitors from 50+ countries, which shows the worldwide enduring interest in GW.

People are attracted to the depth of the characters and the intricate plot of war and total pacifism. Endless Waltz is our let's-wrap-packages Christmas movie. Now we have to find wall space for the posters.

Gundam Wing is an amazing show. It was my gateway into Anime. This set was a no-brainer for me as I get my nostalgic fix. However I received the box set today and it truly blew me away. And the quality of the box and the art is top notch. The art book inside isn't some small pamphlet, it's a large hardcover book with high quality images and pages and worth the purchase on its own.

But the box set doesn't stop there, the art cards are really cool and the posters are nice but okay quality. In addition it comes with some pins and additional cards. After all the goodies, we look at the Blu-Rays and they look fantastic and I'm really looking forward to the OVAs that were never released. And if you are a Gundam fan, it's worth the price for entry. I can say that without a doubt this is one of the nicest collector's sets I've seen come to North America. The box is large. There is an art book, art cards, posters, pins, tarot cards, and 4 Blu Ray boxes with the entire series included, with Endless Waltz.

The art book includes, as best I can tell, all of the artwork done for the series in high quality, glossy paper. This is the type of book you might see selling import for $40+ in terms of size and quality. The most important part, however, is the video and audio quality. I have to say that the LPCM stereo, whether you watch in English or Japanese, is quite good. It's an older show so it isn't like there is a ton of action flying around and stereo separation is what I would say is 'good' but not great in both.

Video quality is impeccable. Colors are bright but not overbearing, bit rate is high, and the original 4:3 aspect ratio is properly retained. I don't believe Gundam Wing has ever looked so good.

Highly recommended. My only complaint is all the empty space in the middle of the box but I suppose I could put my other Gundam DVDs/Blu rays in that spot face-down!

Gundam Wing Operation Meteor

Gundam Wing is obviously one of the more popular Gundam series, arguably the most popular AU Gundam in the West, PERIOD. It is a remake of the original Gundam but with 5 times the Gundam and at least as many political twists and turns BUT with up-to-date animation and a fantastic soundtrack. It frankly is an easier show to watch.

I NEVER got bored watching it and I must have seen the entire show 3 times over the years. Individual episodes I've seen 5-6 times. The artwork on the series was stylish and is well represented by the artbook exclusive to the box-set release. Aside from the posters and art cards, I think the only other thing unique to the set are the extras Blu ray's featuring interviews with the series creators filmed in 2017 at one of the major US cons. My package came on time and was securely packed.

The artbook is gorgeous, however, a good bulk of the pictures can be found on the internet. There were a few that took my breath away but it's a nice addition if you're a diehard Gundam fan. Also, the book is pretty sturdy.

The posters and art cards are decent sizes, however, I prefer the posters. You even get a metal pin set but they're small. The blu-rays came out just fine.

The box everything comes in is a little big but other than that, I'm satisfied. I will advise you guys to only splurge on this if you don't have Gundam Wing in your collection or you just love this series. What sealed the deal for me was the artbook, posters, and the extra stuff that comes on the last bluray. You get behind the scenes, interviews, etc. The artbook has conceptual art and interviews as well.

This is a great show and it's great to get it on Blu-ray, but the box is just stupidly big. It's larger than it would need to be to hold the entire series on DVD with 5 episodes per disc like it was released back in the day, but it has the same 3 disc cases that you get with the regular edition - plus another with some interviews and a picture drama. There's also a great artbook (which is part of why the box is so big). So, the extras may make this worth it to you, but the box just takes up way too much space - and it's a pain to open, since it's one of those where you have to let the bottom fall out to open it, and the vacuum effect makes it open slowly. It's like it's holding the discs hostage inside it and holding the space on my shelves hostage by sitting there.

IMHO, while the box looks nice, it's an utter waste of money, and it makes me feel like this release was a waste of money even though I like the extras. And I'm probably going to just throw the box away to save space.

As a long time Gundam and watcher of the wing series, I have been waiting for this re release of a classic on blu ray for months! Having originally aired on Toonami and cartoon network, I was astounded by the animation. The collectors edition blu ray is a nice package and great extras such as the operation meteor special, Toonami Gundam promos etc. The good, that Gundam looks phenomenal in HD and they kept the original dub for the series intact as expected. The bad, the operation meteor special couldn't be dubbed in English but the sub version is good too.

The mixed, At a hefty price of $175, considering all the content they put into the collectors edition, I'd say it is a must have for Gundam Wing fans. Overall, I am glad to have Gundam Wing back in my anime collection and thx Rightstufanime! And in this year, AD 2017, Gundam Wing is FINALLY back! I was SO stoked when this release was finally announced that I preordered the Ultra edition the second I heard about it back in August.

Gundam Wing Operation Meteor

I don't buy Ultra/collector's editions, so this was a big deal for me. But, for Gundam Wing, I felt it was worth it! I've loved this series since back in the Toonami days but I missed out on a chance to buy the original Bandai DVD set some years back.

Boy, did I ever regret that! This is the first collector's set of anything that I ever bought and I couldn't be happier with it. The art book is amazing and the interviews in the book and the Blu-Ray extras are very fun and informative (I LOVE behind-the-scenes content like this!). And, of course, it is great to FINALLY have one of my all time favorites to watch whenever I want. At last, I can check Gundam Wing off of my Must Own list.

'Mission Complete'!

Author has written 3 stories for Gundam Wing/AC, Gundam Seed, and Tenchi Muyo. Hey everyone, how's it going? I actually used to have a profile on here, but the email adress I was using for it got deactivated (it was a temporary college account), and I had to wait until I got a more permanent email at comcast to start a new one. Anyway, I'm working on one big project right now. It's a Gundam Wing/Gundam Seed crossover. It's gotten quite a bit of attention, so I'll take that as a good thing. The first story, 'Journey To A New Battlefield' is completed, and part two of the saga, 'Destiny's Call' is in its early stages.

Part three, 'Final Waltz', is still a long ways off. My second project is a Gundam Wing/Tenchi Muyo crossover called 'The Pirate's Soldier'.

I've got a few other ideas that I might start hammering out into stories eventually, but that's still a ways off. A little about me. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Law and Justice from Central Washington University in Summer of 2013. I've been working at State Farm ever since as an auto claims rep. Not exactly exciting work, I know, but it pays the bills.

I like manga and anime, with an emphasis on sci-fi, fantasy, and action genres. Same goes for my reading tastes. Favorite anime of all time is Gundam Wing! Favorite movie series is a tie between Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, while my favorite book series is undoubtedly Lord of the Rings (heck, anything by Tolkien for that matter!). Right now my favorite live-action tv show would definitely be Game of Thrones. Arrow's pretty good too. I'm also a really big history buff, particularly when it comes to armed conflicts.

Hope to get to know some of you guys and girls as time goes by on here. I'll be popping in and reviewing from time to time. Please return the favor, and don't hold back on the criticism, I welcome it! Random personal tidbits for the curious: Favorite food: buffalo wings. Favorite bar drink: rum and coke. Mojito would be a close second. Favorite band: tossup between the Eagles and Rush.

Religion: Not my cup of tea. Let's just leave it at that. Favorite video game: Final Fantasy X. It was the first of that series that I played, and while I've played some of the others and have found them to be good that one will always be number one for me! Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is also pretty high on the list for me, best one of the series in my opinion.

Political views: to everyone who knows me in my personal life, independent. To my readers, because I frankly trust you all more with my politics than certain parts of my family, more-or-less social democrat. If you're from Europe you know what I'm talking about, if you're American then look it up. Story status update: Chapter Thirteen of Destiny's Call is underway. Chapter Thirteen of The Pirate's Soldier is underway.

A personal quote of mine: Convince a man that his actions have divine sanction and his capacity for cruelty and atrocity will be boundless. Bit of randomness; 'Roundabout' by the band Yes is a great song to get high to. Speaking from experience!

Also, if you're on Steam and have RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, you might find me on there from time to time! My profile is OperationMeteor.
