Hello, I have seen on the internet that there is a fsc code generator for navigation systems. Is there somebody who has some information on this or even workt with it. I am very interested how its works. The fsc code from BMW is very expensive so if i can save a buck it is Always welcome. I used this one on my 2012 F30 with CIC, one week ago: Password: 'EintrachtFrankfurt' It generates the FSC in three steps. But you have to change the 'year-parameter' in the batch-file to a later map (e.g. 2016 - or even later - instead of 2014), then it works perfectly.
The Default 0x06 for 2014 does not work, but 0x09 does! In adition, you'll need an ENET cable and a working EDIABAS intallation (32-bit - It does not run on 64-bit Windows!) Look for the intruction Video on Youtube. This one is 70 pounds if this is what you're speaking of. That person is selling a FSC code for 70 not the generator. Last time I looked, NBT FSC generators were still pretty expensive just like CIC generators were when very few people had one/ them.
Where it the OP? If you are looking for a FSC code (activation code) to upgrade your maps, which it sounds like what you were after, contact me or others for one. They are inexpensive for NBT and close to free for CIC (of free if you do it yourself, thanks Dr.Ho). Will this generate codes for any Maps? I ask because I want to use this to generate the codes for BMW North America Premium 2014, but on the text file included in the download 'Using and installing FSC.txt' it has listed upt to BMW North America Premium 2013, but not 2014. Hopefully it is just the txt file which is not updated. Yes, it will generate for any version of the map, You just have to supply the region code and map sequence number for the map you want to install.
For CIC: The North American Premium region is 0x2d North American Premium 2014-1 is map code 0x07 I don't know what they are for NBT based systems.

After patching, Self-generated certificates will be accepted as OEM ones. This is ONLY for US (United States) and ECE (Central Europe) software versions!. You should update your CIC software to the latest before applying the patch!.

Format USB drive with fat32 filesystem. Copy file 01PATCHER USBAUTORUN copiescr.sh to empty USB drive. Insert USB drive into CIC, wait until reboot and you're done! (if CIC will not reboot in 20 seconds, it means that there is software incompatibility or already patched, read pre-requests). After CIC has been patched and it restarted you can fire-up E-SYS or FSTOOL. If you go ahead and check the status of FSC you will see that CIC has been virginized and only root certificate is accepted.

Key you should use for signing FSC certificates is 00PRIVATEKEYS fscs.der other two private keys (root.der and sigs.der) you will have no use for, they are included just so the cert chain is complete. To make certificates for your VIN you can use files in folder 03FSCTEMPLATES from archive,. Load them in E-SYS (FSC Editor) or FSTOOL, change ONLY VIN, sign them and save as. VERY IMPORTANT: If you do not know what you are doing when modifying template certificates, change only VIN to match yours, do not edit other fields including date of issue. After making all certificates you will need for your retrofit you can install them normally via FSTOOL or ESYS, other needed certificates as SIGs and FSCs cert you can find in folder 02CERTS from this archive. PLEASE NOTE, AFTER PATCHING CIC IS VIRGINIZED AND MAY SHOW THAT FSCS AND SIG CERTS ARE REJECTED, AND ROOT ACCEPTED. Check if the file 1b.hex is present on the USB stick (if not go to step 2 and try another USB stick) 7. Edit fsc.bat and update the year code (when needed) 8. Run the command file fsc.bat 9. A file 'code.txt' is created which contains the FSC code for your car!
