Google Maps Kml File Load
So I made a KML file on Google Earth on my computer and wanted to put it on my phone so I could use my GPS to follow my path. After much searching, I came upon a post on Yahoo answers and found that it works flawlessly. Now I don't know if this has already been posted (I did search) but I decided it might be helpful to some.
If you have a lot of KML files that you need to be able to view on Maps on your phone, make a Webs.com account. After creating it (does not need to be aesthetically pleasing), go to upload files.

Upload your KML file and after doing so, go to Maps on your phone. Now go to search and using 'type the website including the file (ie: ). It should show up. To see how it works, try going to Maps on your phone right now and searching without quotes 'It is a path I made of a loop I sometimes ride on my dirt bike. The article isn't up to date, and Google Maps has somewhat changed, but the essence of the actions is the same - go to Google Maps website - hit 'my places' - 'create map' - then hit 'import' and load your KML. To make matters worse, the offline map functionality temporarily went away with the latest Google Maps update so you have to run an old version to even get offline maps, nevermind even trying to get My Places onto your phone.
